I Am The Bread of Life (John 6:22-59)

Following the miracle of feeding more than five thousand people, Jesus is faced with having to explain who he is … again. The crowd was looking for a leader who would establish a kingdom that met their material needs. Jesus crushes their world view by teaching that he is “the bread of life”, and has so much more to offer if they could focus on their spiritual need.

Are we like the crowd? Do we forget what a gift Jesus is and what it means to be spiritually fed by him? Jesus meets our needs and we are to follow his example as we meet the needs of others.
