Last week was an eventful one for my family. On Tuesday, our new son “Chase Stephen Barkley” was born (And yes, he’s awesome). Needless to say, my sermon preparation was a little more scattered than usual!

We looked at Colossians 1:24-2:7 where Paul shares that his suffering is meaningful. Indeed, he’s able to even rejoice in (the midst of) it. You can only understand Paul’s suffering by looking at his final rejection in the last chapter of Acts. I encourage you to read Acts 28:16-31, chase it with the text from Colossians, and allow the Spirit to speak to you.
