A Wing and a Prayer (Part 1)

I sat down to write a message on the episode concerning Elijah and the widow’s son (1 Kings 17:17-24) last week. The more I studied, prayed, and considered the text, the more lessons on prayer jumped out at me. In fact, each of the 8 verses in this episode have something to teach us about prayer:

- V. 24 – Prayer and Providence
The length of the message quickly grew unmanageable, so I’ve split it over two weeks. Let me encourage you to not only listen to the points, but to use them as motivation to launch you into prayer more often.

Just wanted to tell you again how much I appreciated your example of why we need to reach for the “higher” perspective before we make any rash judgements or decisions. I’ve been thinking about that one almost every day now.
